canapés …. static …. nibbles ….?

For many events its not as simple as staff circulating with canapés, whether that be due to the style of the event,

location or budget.
For smaller more intimate events it can feel more natural to have a static selection of canapés artistically displayed on a table or side rather than staff interrupting your guests. Alternatively if you still want a small nibble for your guests but either time or budget doesn’t allow for the service of canapés then a selection of interesting savoury nibbles may be the answer.


 

Served Cold


Cured Tsar fillet of salmon, rye crisp, horseradish cream and hot smoked salmon

 

Lobster summer roll with lemon mayonnaise


Dorset crab, miso tuile, bloody mary sauce


Tuna carpaccio, white balsamic, pomegranate salsa


Bresaola, truffle cream, sourdough croute, thyme honey


Ham hock, crostini, crushed pea, pickled cauliflower and shoots
 

Jerk chicken, sour cream, mango and chilli salsa


Slow roasted tomato, caramelised red onion,

basil, crostini - v


Black pepper crostini, creamed goats cheese, pickled beets, parsley pesto - v

Parmesan crisps with caponata - v


Spiced aubergine, orange infused carrot puree, rye crisp, cumin yoghurt - vg

 

Charred courgette ribbon, slow roasted tomato, mint - vg

Served Warm


Roasted sea bass, pancetta, pea and mint crostini

 

American crab cakes with spiced tomato sauce

 

Prawn, pancetta, butternut squash purée


Steak and chips with béarnaise


Slow roasted pork belly, stewed apple and crackling crumble

 

Panko chicken, Katsu sauce


Lemongrass chicken with pickled cucumber


Lamb fillet, samphire, salsa verde and crispy capers

 

Wild mushroom risotto, truffle cream sauce - v


Pan fried gruyere sandwich, sweet pepper sauce - v

A canapé should be beautiful, bite sized and taste phenomenal. These menus offer just a few examples that we can use as a starting point to develop a well balanced and considered menu for your event.
